Witec heeft met de eigenaar van het intellectueel eigendom en de merkrechten van Drymer, de heer B. de Graaf uit Stadskanaal, afspraken over de doorontwikkeling en productie van de futuristische e-Trike. Bert de Graaf was als grootaandeelhouder al vanaf de start betrokken bij het Drymer project. Hij ziet nog steeds goede kansen voor Drymer en gaat via de onderneming Drymer Products BV de marketing en verkoop organiseren. Bij Witec wordt de ontwikkeling en productie van de Drymer neergelegd. Witec is, als eigenaar van machinefabriek Schramifa in Stadskanaal, betrokken bij de productie van de Drymer en heeft een goed inzicht in de productiemogelijkheden en de marktpotenties van de Drymer. Witec gaat zo spoedig mogelijk de productie opstarten om voor de zomer de eerste Drymer van Witec op de markt te introduceren.

“Wij geloven in dit product” zegt Eric Vos, directeur van Witec: “Er staan klanten te wachten die graag de Drymer willen hebben”. Samen met zijn compagnon Raimon Warta zullen de laatste technische hobbels voor introductie worden weggenomen en dan staat er gewoon een prachtig product van Groningse bodem. Met de leveranciers van specifieke onderdelen zullen afspraken worden gemaakt over verdere samenwerking. “Natuurlijk begrijpen wij de teleurstelling bij enkele leveranciers maar als dit product zichzelf in de markt bewijst is het toch eind goed – al goed” aldus Vos.

GRONINGEN – Last weekend following intensive discussions with the official receiver, Witec, which is based in Ter Apel in the Netherlands, reached agreement to acquire the production of the trendy tilting three-wheeler. Because of repeated postponement of the market launch, the Drymer, an innovative and futuristic cycle concept with two tilting front wheels, found itself in ‘serious’ difficulties.

Witec has reached agreement with the owner of the Drymer intellectual property rights and trademark rights, Mr B. de Graaf from Stadskanaal, about the further development and production of the futuristic e-Trike. As the major shareholder, Bert de Graaf was involved in the Drymer project from the start. He still sees excellent prospects for Drymer and will be organising the sales and marketing activities via the company Drymer Products BV. The development and production of the Drymer will be incorporated within Witec. As the owner of the Schramifa engineering works in Stadskanaal, Witec has been involved in the production of the Drymer and has a very good understanding of the production possibilities and the market potential of the Drymer. Witec will be commencing production as soon as possible so that the first Witec Drymer can be launched on the market before the summer.

“We believe in this product” says Eric Vos, Director of Witec: “There are customers waiting that really want to have the Drymer.” Together with his partner, Raimon Warta, the last technical glitches prior to launch are being resolved, after which there will simply remain a fantastic product, born and bred in Groningen. Agreements will be reached about further collaboration with suppliers of specific components. “We do of course understand the disappointment among a number of suppliers but when this product proves itself in the market then all’s well that ends well” says Vos.
